Being on the west coast means that sunsets over the sea are a good subject (as this is Puget Sound you have the benefit of land out to the west as well)
But sunrises in the mountains work as well – unusually there doesn’t seem to be groups of climbers on the summit snow. Not many camera club outings involve meeting at a car park at 4:00 in the morning after sleeping in the car overnight
