Another Oregon coast cliché, but well worth a photo. This is at the mouth of the Columbia River, all around there are “historical” sites tracing the Lewis and Clark Expedition in 1805/6 – the first white Americans to arrive on the pacific coast by land and also the first commercial expedition that founded “Astoria” in 1811 named after John Jacob Astor who funded the 1811 venture. The problem is there is nothing worth photographing as they are all “interpretations”
