An older sibling, probably one year shy of being an adult so 4 or 5 years old. Sitting on driftwood at the edge of a car park. I had to back away to be able to focus on it. Quite low angle light so I must have caught an early ferry onto the island. But no problem, the Keystone Café was only half a mile down the road. The owner was a fisherman spending the season up in Alaska, the café was for his wife. I walked in with the big lens one day and found out that he was a great photographer!
a quick trip to the Oregon coast. This is the view down the coast to Cannon Beach with the famous haystack rock in the centre of the image. I started to clone out the strands of grass in the foreground and then thought “get a life”
Also known as Terrible Tilly, taken from the same area as the last image but this time out into the Pacific. If you have ever lived in the area you can’t see the name Tillamook without thinking milk and cheese – Tillamook Dairy stuff was everywhere
