This red dingy was always moored here but on this day it was sitting nicely with two others – not that I moved them about a bit, honest!
A Purple Sandpiper although the purple blush doesn’t show in this light. I just sat on a rock watching a group of them foraging in the seaweed and this one saw a tasty morsel in my direction
These plovers nest on the beach with the sunrises which is why the beach is closed for a good part of the summer
