The final pull up to Camp Muir at 10.000’ the launch point for Rainier summit. I am being smug as I am sitting down resting, the last 100’ of ascent it’s a real killer as you can see from the people still coming up
I was really pleased with this image – good white snow, nicely framed by the trees, leading line with the snowshoe prints in the snow, good story…… I put it in as part of a portfolio review and the reviewer said “you like it because you did the climb not because it is a good image” and moved on to the next image. He is right in a way but I still like it
well the main road through the National Park in summer but they don’t snow plough beyond Paradise in winter. So there is a great ski loop – down the road and back along the ridge on the horizon – finally dropping back down to Paradise
