This is a classic pose, pulled out on a bit of wood in the sun. If the log is long enough you will get whole families of turtles sunning themselves in line. More often than not you don’t see them and just hear the plop as they dive back into the water
OK enough wildlife, back to the real world, or what counts as “arty” in my world to be precise. Plum Island Sunrise – I had the other image of this sunrise in another presentation but I couldn’t not have this scene in the show. As I was driving to the coast (about 40 minutes) I could see the potential developing, and my speed kept creeping up – no speeding ticket though
A lobster fisherman leaving Rockport Harbour before sunrise (you have to appreciate the sacrifice for this image, it is only 5:14 in the morning and Rockport is nearly an hours drive). I couldn’t quite work out the lighting until I saw a massive floodlight at the fishing dock
