Plum Island was not one of my go-to sunset places, most of the wildlife would be into the sun like this one. I wish I had gone there in the evening more often
my more normal Plum Island timing – before 6 in the morning. In July you needed to get there early as the beach was closed for the plovers and they restricted the number of parking places – first come first served
Its only a mallard but with that lighting and that background it makes a nice image
