For various reasons we visited other parts of the US and Canada while we lived in the US. This is the Tetons on our farewell trip
I had to travel to San Diego for work (such a hardship I can hear you saying) and I managed a few hikes in the hills inland of the city. This area had burned about 3 years earlier but on the same hike we were in freshly burned areas. Not the best photograph but very evocative.
I thought I would drive to Glacier National Park for Thanksgiving, it was only 570 miles each way! I was following this valley for about 20 miles and there was a rainbow the whole time. I thought this collapsed building was an appropriate end for the rainbow
