An Eastern-Pondhawk male partway to being a adult. I just love the colour of the image hence its title. The out of focus “thing” behind the dragonfly was not in the right colour palette, I learned quite a bit about Lightroom trying to get it to blend in

I don’t think it is the same flower as the last image. The fly is taking a risk, it is well within the size range for the skimmers prey, it is so unusual for a random thing coming into shot and being in the focal plane!
