But really I was still a mountaineer who took photographs. Those clouds colouring up nicely for sunrise rained on us all the way back to the car (two hours with heavy climbing packs)

Staying in high mountain huts gives great opportunities like this sunset from the AMC Madison Hut (not that I made the most of the opportunity but…..)
